Carbon 14 Production

Carbon 14 (C14)(what) is produced when comic rays from the sun strike Nitrogen in the atmosphere and the result is Carbon 14. This process will finally end with c14 combining with oxygen to get Carbon dioxide. (CO2). Plants absorb the CO2 and we eat plants and animals which breath and eat CO2. this is how Carbon 14  gets into living systems like yourself.

C14 is radioactive. This means it is unstable and will slowly fall apart. The rate at which it breaks down can be measured. When a animal dies it stops taking in C14. Also the C14 that is already in the animal starts falling apart. Scientist use this rate somewhat like a clock comparing how much c14 we think was in the animal to start with to how much C14 is there today. Counting backwards we can find out when the animal died. What effects C14 dating from the past

1. The earth's Magnetic field is getting weaker. That means in the past it use to be stronger. This would greatly reduce the amount of radiation coming into the atmosphere from the sun. This means that animals that lived 3, 4, 5 thousand years ago, when the magnetic field was multiple times stronger, would have taken in significantly less C14. Since evolutionist assume the rate has always been the same or that there was never a time when Carbon 14 production was less then today, when you compare C12 to C14 in those animals you will get a date far older then the actually age.

2. The flood buried millions of trees and animals suddenly.

This basically means large amounts of Carbon was removed at one time "resetting the clock" sort of speak and things living before the flood would also give dates older then the actually date of the animal dying.
